  • 1. Can I bring my own house plan?

    Yes.  We will review the plans with you and work with you to get the plan blueprints, material lists and CAD drawings in order for us to move forward with the estimation and pricing process.  

  • 2. Can I bring my own lot?

    Yes.  We will build on any lot suitable for a home.  The lot must be zoned properly and the planned home must fit on the plot plan.  Costs to prepare an unsuitable lot will be the responsibility of the buyer.

  • 3. Do you have house plans that I can use or customize?

    We have a variety of house plans of different house elevations and types, A frame, rancher, etc. from which you can choose.  You can build these as is, or make customizations for a fee.  The fee amount depends on the volume and complexity of the changes.

  • 4. How do you keep your clients informed about the status of their construction process?

    During the construction process, we are transparent with what is going on with your home construction.  We will engage with you on a very regular basis via the communication means and frequency of your choice.  We make full use of digital media by sharing the progress virtually.

  • 5. What do I need to do to get started?

    Please contact us directly at Sales@alhomebuilders.com or call our sales team at: (240)693-ALHB (2542).  If you have a buyer’s agent, please disclose that on your first contact with our sales team or have the agent call us before you reach out to us.  This will ensure that the agent gets the proper commission credit.  We are not obligated to honor any agent commission after your first contact with our sales team.

  • 6. Can I use a buyer’s real estate agent to assist with the home purchase?

    Yes.  We are happy to work with a buyer’s agent as long as they are known to us as your representative on your initial meeting with our sales team. We would need their contact information.

  • 7. Where do you build custom homes?

    Currently, we primarily build in western Maryland, but will consider other locations in Maryland if the opportunity makes good business sense for the customer and A&L.

  • 8. What size homes do you build?

    Our principals have experience in building small townhomes to very large custom luxury homes.  We can certainly build your home.

  • 9. Do you offer a warranty?

    Yes.  We are still working on the details of the warranty offerings for our customers, but offering a warranty is part of our mission on providing premier customer service and building relationships with our customers.
